WORKSHOPS & SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

Are you organizing an event? A mushroom presentation or workshop may fit in very well with your plans!

Mike can come to your event or venue and present a slideshow of original photography covering different aspects of the mushroom world. There are a few different topics to choose from, such as Foraging Mushrooms of the Ozarks, Cooking with Gourmet Mushrooms, and Mushrooms as Food and Medicine, and many more. Reach out with your requested mushroom related topic and we can make it happen! Talks are generally around an hour and a half, with plenty of time reserved for Q & A. Please reach out with details about your event, we would love to work with you! Special pricing available for non-profits!

We also offer Mushroom Cultivation Classes/Workshops! Mike will present a slideshow detailing our successes (and failures) producing multiple varieties of delicious mushrooms, focusing on low-tech and outdoor methods. Then participants assemble their own oyster mushroom grow kit and take it home, where it will produce gourmet mushrooms in just a few weeks. The fee for a Cultivation Class/Workshop varies and there is an additional materials costs for the kits. Workshops generally take 2 ½ to 3 hours. Workshops can be custom made to fit what you have in mind, so don’t hesitate to reach out with your ideas!
