WORKSHOPS & PRESENTATIONS

Are you organizing an event? A mushroom presentation or workshop may fit in very well with your plans!

We can come to your event or venue and present a slideshow of original photography covering different aspects of the mushroom world. There are a few different topics to choose from, such as Wild Mushrooms of the Midwest, Cooking with Gourmet Mushrooms, Mushrooms on the Homestead, and Mushrooms as Food and Medicine. Talks are generally an hour and a half, with plenty of time reserved for Q & A. Please reach out with details about your event, we would love to work with you!

We also offer Mushroom Cultivation Presentation/Workshops where Mike will present a slideshow on the basics of home mushroom cultivation, focusing on low-tech and outdoor methods. Then participants will inoculate a kit (or log) with mushroom spawn and take it home. The fee for a Cultivation Class/Workshop varies and will include materials costs for the kits. It usually take 2 1/2 to 3 hours. This workshop can be custom made to fit what you have in mind, so don’t hesitate to reach out with your ideas!
